Prayer...Scientifically Speaking
Scientific prayer can be better understood through a metaphysical examination, as seen from the perspective of a spiritual scientist.
You may be wondering what exactly a spiritual scientist is and how one becomes qualified. Is it necessary to complete 4 to 12 years of secular schooling to be recognized as a spiritual scientist?
A spiritual scientist employs similar methods as a material scientist, although with some slight differences. While a material scientist must substantiate their discoveries with physical evidence, a spiritual scientist works on the unseen but sees through intuitional perception.
The material scientist verifies their findings solely through what they can observe with their physical eyes. However, the spiritual scientist delves deeper, exploring the realm beyond the physical, which is why the term metaphysics, meaning "beyond physics," is used.
The metaphysician surpasses the five-senses reaching into the realm of the 4th dimension and beyond. Through intuition and spiritual intelligence the true spiritual scientist embodies the essence of what scientific prayer without relying on external apparatuses.
The true metaphysician realizes that there is a world beyond the physical and that invisible laws are endlessly at play. This is why this post is titled Prayer...Scientifically Speaking.
The only schooling required is that the individual is willing and open to learning the truth about the universal mechanisms imperceptible to the physical eyes that govern human existence.
Your graduation is dependent on your understanding of God's omnipotence and the belief that this world was created by a supremely intelligent and all-powerful being who is always ready to assist us when we call upon Him in the right way.
The right way is through scientific prayer.
Your approach to prayer should be based on scientific principles. This means that you should understand the discernible characteristics and established principles of prayer.
Whatever the case, it doesn't mean that you won't experience answered prayer if you are not aware of the scientific components involved with answered prayer. It does mean that the scientific principles of prayer were utilized during your prayer in some way or another.
The aim of this post is to guide you on a sagacious journey into scientific prayer and the invisible universal laws that govern it.Here are two passages from different authors emphasizing the power of prayer:
"Prayer can change your life anytime, anywhere, at any age. It can heal your diseases, renew your mind and body, calm the storms of daily living, from the great tempests of fear that threaten to overwhelm to the day-by-day squalls in human relationships that constantly rock-our-boat until we view a world distorted by a seasick haze."
The above verse was taken from the book: "Prayer Can Change Your Life" by Dr. William R. Parker and Elaine St. Johns.
In an interesting article titled Cardiologist Is Living Proof That Prayer Works:
"A successful cardiologist in Ashland, Ky., Dr. Bush knew what it meant when he had a lingering cough that produced pain in his chest. This past June, x-rays confirmed his suspicion.
The doctors told him, "If this is cancer, you should be dead." It was cancer, and it was in both lungs, his brain, and in his spine. Several times, doctors told Dr. Bush's family that he wouldn't make it through the night. Throughout it all, though, Dr. Bush, his family, and his church prayed. According to Baptist Press, Dr. Bush's pastor organized "prayer vigils at the church and even at the hospital where Bush practiced -- 24-hour vigils of deep prayer for their beloved Christian brother.
Released from the hospital in July, Dr. Bush's condition began to improve. In September, a scan revealed the startling news that the cancer was no longer present in his brain and spine. There was only one small spot in one of his lungs. The doctors were amazed, but Dr. Bush claims, "My life is a testament to the power of prayer and God."
Whether the people praying for the cancer ridden gentleman consciously understood the scientific method of prayer or not is unanswered.
However, in order for their prayers to be answered, they were aware of God's omnipotence and believed that sincere prayer and unwavering faith would result in their prayers being answered.
This was not a blind prayer. They utilized a scientific approach to prayer by following a specific process in order to increase the likelihood of their prayers being answered.
There are countless stories similar to that of the cardiologist's testament. In fact, there are numerous testimonies available online from individuals who have experienced answered prayer. However, what about those who pray without seeing any results? Why does it appear that some prayers are answered while others are not?
First, I want to emphasize that all prayers are answered. However, the extent to which your prayer is fulfilled depends on the strength of your faith.
Having complete faith means "letting go and letting God," which can be challenging when you are feeling worried and fearful.
This is why taking a scientific approach to prayer is crucial. It allows you to not only rely on your emotions, but you also have a deeper understanding of how universal laws work to bring about the fulfillment of prayers which can release you from fear and worry.
If you follow these principles your prayers will be completely fulfilled.
Faith requires belief in something that has not yet materialized and is very crucial during prayer. This concept may contradict the beliefs of material scientists, but we are focusing on spiritual scientific methods that hold just as much weight for spiritually aware individuals as the findings of material scientists
All prayers are answered maybe not when and how you had expected. The sooner you let go of the issue you prayed about, the sooner you will experience answered prayer. Doubt causes delayed answers to prayers.
The stronger your faith, the more concise the answer to your prayers. Whether you're praying for yourself or for someone else, it is important to believe that you or the other person deserves fulfillment.
For instance, imagine praying for a new dress to wear to a friend's wedding. However, deep down, you doubt that you will actually receive the dress you desire.
However, you do end up with a dress for the wedding but because you were in doubt about the outcome of your prayer, the dress wasn't exactly to your liking. Remember...be specific with your prayers.
Some might ask "well doesn't God already know what you need?" Yes, this is true, but seeing that God works through you He can only give you what you think you deserve. When in reality you could have something better if you believe you deserved better.
Having doubt and being skeptical about when and how your prayers will be answered interferes with the manifestation of your prayer.
I cannot stress enough the truth that God works through you. He does not simply transmit signals from a satellite dish in the sky like Wi-Fi. Therefore, it is crucial to let go and trust that God does answer prayers.
One important point to note is that any deeply held desire can be considered a form of prayer. This means that what you truly believe in has the potential to manifest in your life.
This applies to both positive and negative beliefs that you strongly hold to be true. However, when you purposely engage in prayer, you are consciously aware of the act and its purpose.
Many people simply mumble a few words with no sincerity or depth and call it prayer. They're full of doubt and shortly after they throw their hands up in the air after several prayers saying "prayer doesn't work."
This is why it is crucial to understand the scientific method of prayer. You're not simply relying on feelings but an intelligent comprehension that there are laws that back your prayers thereby guaranteeing their fulfillment.
Prayer And The Law Of Gravity
Newton's law of gravitation broken down in simple terms indicates that each-and-every object in the universe pulls on every other object with a force that gets stronger with more mass but weaker with more distance.
Even though we cannot see gravity, we know that it exists and that it works to our advantage when we apply its laws correctly. Similarly, although we cannot see the invisible universal laws that govern prayer, they do exist and can work to our advantage when utilized properly.
If you follow the laws of gravity, you will get concrete results. It's the same with prayer. If you follow the laws of prayer, you will also get certain results.
Everything is governed by law or it would be impossible for anything to function or be reliable. Therefore, there's no reason to believe that prayer is simply a muttering of words and a luck-of-the-draw.
Just think if there was no law of gravity. How could airplanes fly? How could buildings remain grounded? People would be floating in the air one second and back on the ground the next.
Man frequently creates laws and then reverses them. Universal laws are immutable and never change.
1. Doubt will weaken your prayers
If you doubt the power of your prayers, they may not be answered in the way you hoped or long delayed.
You must have faith like Doubting Thomas, whose skepticism was transformed into a deep belief after witnessing the resurrection of Jesus.
Keep in mind that the bible is also allegorical. Jesus is a wondrous figure that has provided metaphysical wisdom throughout the ages.
Each person cognizes the bible according to their level of spiritual discernment. In fact, over emotionalism is the main reason for so much misunderstanding of the bible.
The deeper meaning of the Bible is ultimately unveiled to those who grow spiritually and intellectually. As they grasp the metaphysical essence of the Bible, they come to understand the purpose behind its illustrative prose. .
2. When praying remain in the now
Don't keep your mind centered on what you want to eat for dinner while praying. Be focused in the now. God has no sense of time and space; therefore, the more focused we are the quicker our prayers are answered.
3. Remember just like invisible gravity
There are universal laws that govern prayer that are also invisible and authentic.
4. Prayer is different for everyone
God has created each of us as unique individuals, and as a result, our prayers will also be unique. Even when praying in a group, each person contributes their own energy, together creating a powerful collective prayer.
5. Be intuitive
One prayer should be enough. If your faith is solid you will have no doubt that your prayer will be answered. Continuously praying about a matter means that you doubt that your prayer will be effective.
Nonetheless, you should continue to pray as many times as necessary until you feel that your prayer has been heard.
Afterwards, it is no longer necessary to pray about the situation. Trust your intuition and know that your prayer has been answered.
6. Our daily life is a prayer
Many people are unaware that our daily lives are a form of prayer, and that our prayers are constantly being answered. Allow me to elaborate.
Have you deeply desired something that eventually manifested? That desire was a prayer. Maybe you didn't purposely go into a corner and kneel to express certain words but any desire intensely felt is a prayer. This applies whether your desire is negative or positive.
When praying with awareness, you are intentionally directing your energy towards a specific need or want. It is not about trying to manipulate the outcome, but rather, it is about communicating your wish to the universe.
It is important to recognize that while we may have wants we may not always know what we truly need.
Therefore, it is crucial to be mindful of your desires, as you may end up receiving something that you thought you wanted but may not be beneficial for you in the long run. This is why the saying "the answer is never no, prayers are always answered" holds true.
7. After praying, you should completely surrender the problem into God's hands.
Letting go is one of the hardest steps in conscious prayer. Placing full faith in God's ability to release us from our troubles is much like the anxiousness you feel when going to a dentist appointment to have a tooth pulled. You prefer not to have the procedure done but nonetheless, it has to be done.
If you pray to have enough money for a plane ticket to go to a wedding but doubt that you will receive enough money or won't receive the money on time, you're hindering your prayer.
Yes, it's hard to let go once you've prayed about a matter but it's a pivotal step in receiving expeditious answers to your prayers.
However, don't be discouraged...remember practice makes perfect. Eventually, you will reach a point where you no longer feel the need to pray because you have complete trust that God knows your needs.
Even so, it does not mean that we should not pray for others.
I have presented the concept of prayer and its scientific elements to you. I understand that there may still be unanswered questions in this post. However, my hope is that after reading it, you will feel inspired and have a better understanding of prayer.
