Prayer...Scientifically Speaking

This post is a metaphysical analysis of prayer through the lens of a spiritual scientist. What is a spiritual scientist? Well, let's put it this way. A material scientist must prove their findings backed by physical research. The spiritual scientist does the same thing albeit by a slightly different method.

The material scientist only believes what they can see which is all fine-and-well. However, the spiritual scientist goes beyond the physical hence the term metaphysics which means beyond physics. It's akin to faith backed by an intelligent understanding of the imperceptible universal laws.

The metaphysician surpasses the five senses reaching into the realm of the 4th dimension and beyond. Their intuition, intelligence, and true spiritual magnetism constitutes the essence of scientific prayer without the need of any external apparatus.

The true metaphysician realizes that there is a world beyond the physical and that invisible laws are endlessly at play. This is why I titled this post Prayer...Scientifically Speaking.

The approach to prayer is based on authentic astute knowledge of the infallibility of God's universal laws.

This post aims to guide you on a sagacious journey into scientific prayer and the invisible universal laws that govern it.

Here are two passages from different authors emphasizing the power of prayer:

"Prayer can change your life anytime, anywhere, at any age. It can heal your diseases, renew your mind and body, calm the storms of daily living, from the great tempests of fear that threaten to overwhelm to the day-by-day squalls in human relationships that constantly rock-our-boat until we view a world distorted by a seasick haze."

In an interesting article titled Cardiologist Is Living Proof That Prayer Works

"A successful cardiologist in Ashland, Ky., Dr. Bush knew what it meant when he had a lingering cough that produced pain in his chest. This past June, x-rays confirmed his suspicion. The doctors told him, "If this is cancer, you should be dead." It was cancer, and it was in both lungs, his brain, and in his spine. Several times, doctors told Dr. Bush's family that he wouldn't make it through the night. Throughout it all, though, Dr. Bush, his family, and his church prayed. According to Baptist Press, Dr. Bush's pastor organized "prayer vigils at the church and even at the hospital where Bush practiced -- 24-hour vigils of deep prayer for their beloved Christian brother.

Released from the hospital in July, Dr. Bush's condition began to improve. In September, a scan revealed the startling news that the cancer was no longer present in his brain and spine. There was only one small spot in one of his lungs. The doctors were amazed, but Dr. Bush claims, "My life is a testament to the power of prayer and God."

Prayers works when you pray in the right way.

Why Some Prayers Are Answered Almost Answered Or Not Answered At All

There are millions of stories similar to the testament of the cardiologist. In fact, you will find many testimonies online from those who have experienced successful prayer. But what about those who pray with no results? Why does it seem that some prayers are answered and others are not?

First, I want to emphasize that all prayers are answered. But whether your prayer is completely fulfilled depends on the faith behind your prayer. That faith requires you to "let go and let God" which is the hardest thing to do when you're worried and fearful. Faith in your prayer requires your belief in something that has not yet materialized.

Doubt causes our prayers to be delayed. This is why it's important to be mindful of the fact that God's works through us. So your doubt and wondering when and how your prayer will be answered is hindering the progress of your answered prayer.

It's just like someone trying to reach you on your phone but for some reason they can't get through. When your mind is in a tizzy about the matter you're praying about it causes a short circuit.

Your prayer will be answered through you not from up in the sky. That's why it's essential that after you pray about something to let it go and trust that God will do the rest of the work.

I want to emphasize something here...Every deeply held desire whether conscious or subconscious is a prayer. What you truly believe in will manifest. However, this goes for both good and bath beliefs that you feel are true.

When you go off to pray you are consciously praying and aware that you are doing so. When you become aware that your thoughts-are-things that can manifest in your experience you will begin to control them as not to bring into your life something unpleasant.

This is why it is crucial to understand the scientific method of prayer. You're not simply relying on feelings but an intelligent comprehension that there are laws that back your prayers thereby guaranteeing their fulfillment.

Many people simply mumble a few words with no sincerity or depth and call it prayer. They're full of doubt and shortly after they throw their hands up in the air after several prayers declaring that "prayer doesn't work."

Prayer And The Law Of Gravity

Newton's law of universal gravitation broken down in simple terms means that each-and-every object in the universe pulls on every other object with a force that gets stronger with more mass but weaker with more distance.

Even though we cannot see gravity we know that it exists and that it works to our advantage if we apply the laws of gravity properly. Though we can't see the invisible universal laws that move prayer they do exist and work to our advantage when used properly.

You may not always get the results you want, but you will get a better result in a way that you couldn't imagine. Your need will be fulfilled.  As one great metaphysician wrote: God creates His own amazing channels.

If you follow the laws of gravity, you will get certain results. If you follow the laws of prayer, you will also get certain results. Here are seven laws of prayer that one should be aware of:

1. Doubt will weaken your prayers. If  you doubt the power of your prayers your prayers will not be answered or long delayed. You have to be like Doubting Thomas who's skepticism was turned into a deep faith after witnessing the resurrection of Jesus.

Keep in mind that the bible is also allegorical. Jesus is a wondrous figure that has provided wisdom throughout the ages. Once you understand the metaphysical meaning of the bible, you began to comprehend why it is written in symbols. Each person cognizes the bible according to their level of spiritual discernment.

2. When you pray, be in the now. Don't have your mind on what you want to eat for dinner while praying. Be centered with your prayer.

3. Remember just like invisible gravity, the universal laws that govern prayer are also invisible and authentic.

4. Prayer is different for everyone. Each person is unique and therefore your prayer will be too. Even when praying in a group each individual is putting forth their own energy to create one immense collective superpowered-prayer.

5. Be intuitive. One prayer should be enough. If your faith is solid you have no doubt that your prayer will be answered. Continuously praying about a matter means that you're doubting that your prayer is effective.

Nonetheless, you should continue to pray as many times as necessary until you feel that your prayer has been heard. Afterwards don't pray about the predicament any longer. You intuitively know that the answer will come.

6. What many people don't comprehend is that our daily life is a prayer and even though we don't realize it, our prayers are being answered all the time. I'll explain further.

Have you deeply desired something that eventually manifested? That was a prayer. Maybe you didn't go in a corner and kneel to express certain words but any desire intensely felt is a prayer. .

Whether consciously (when we go off in silence to pray) or subconsciously (when you have a consistent desire in the back of your mind; even if you are unaware of it) this is another form of prayer and will eventually manifest into your material world. This goes for negative things too

The difference is that by consciously praying you are directing your energy. You're not trying to create the answer but you're letting the universe know about your need. Many people have wants but they don't know what they need.

So be careful about what you want, you might just get it. That's why the saying the answer is never no, prayers are always answered is true.

7. After praying, you must completely surrender the problem into God's hands. It's one of the hardest steps in conscious prayer. We must put full faith in God's promises. The degree of your faith will determine how soon and how your prayer is answered.

If you pray to have enough money for a plane ticket to go to a wedding but doubt that you will receive the money or won't receive the money on time, you're hindering your prayer. You might get there by bus or train or because of your doubt you might receive nothing at all.

If you would have let-go-and-let-God (which basically means not to waiver in your faith) you would have probably flown by plane maybe even business or first class. God always gives more when our faith is 100%.

Still, don't be discouraged...practice makes perfect. Eventually you will get to the point where you don't have to pray because you KNOW that God KNOWS what you need. However, that's not saying we shouldn't pray for others.

I've given an idea of prayer and its scientific elements. I know there are still many questions and all of them are not answered in this post. Nonetheless, I hope that after reading my post you will go away inspired with an enhanced conceptualization about prayer and how it can help you in your life.
