God Is Better

Do the words "God Is Better" mean anything to you? Or, let's put it this way, have those words ever crossed your mind? Maybe you've heard the phrase God Is Better before but never really thought much about them...until now.

Perhaps perplexing global events cause you to pause and contemplate whether there is something better. Well, there is something better...God Is Better and there's no getting around it.

With so much confusion and destruction in the world people are simply becoming unhinged. They don't know what to do or where to turn. All the other favored go-to solutions are failing.

As a result, individuals are struggling to cope with the perplexities of everyday life. However, there is one way of relief from it all and that's by turning to God. Unfortunately, God is the last place many individuals seek for solace. When if they had kept a close spiritual contact with Him many negative situations could have been avoided. 

This isn't about emotional, end of the world, fatalistic moralizing. But the fact is that too many souls, on their present terrestrial journey, have forgotten their true nature. They have made the external world i.e. governments, world leaders, banking institutions, doctors, other people etc., their God and there's immense suffering because of it.

It doesn't matter which name you choose for God or your devotional affiliation. The Creator, The One, Yahweh, It, The Most High, Catholic, Protestant, Baptist etc. The longing for every soul is the same. 

Every person is born with free will, giving us the ability to make choices in our lives. While it may not always seem apparent, we are constantly faced with decisions that require us to tap into our consciousness. 

Even as children, we may be under the will of our parents, but the power of choice is still inherent within us. 

The choice is whether to serve man or serve God. Serving God is a million times more beneficial than serving man and believe it or not...more practical too.  

The ultimate choice we face is whether to bow to the ways of the world or to serve a higher power. Serving God brings countless benefits and is ultimately more practical than following mankind's rendention of a happy life. 

It does not mean neglecting our earthly responsibilities, but rather, as we grow spiritually, we may come to realize that blindly conforming to societal norms may not always align with our conscience.

Why God Is Better

God is better because when you prioritize Him in your life, you make better choices. You become wiser, calmer, healthier, more prosperous, secure, and happier. You no longer worry or cry about wants and needs or what the future holds. 

By building a solid relationship with God, no amount of worldly despair will cause you to feel disheartened. A formidable buffer is formed around your consciousness that no amount of hopelessness can penetrate.  

The way to reap a mighty fortress of protection around you is to not forget about God in your daily life. Even something as mundane as buying a loaf of bread, God will automatically lead you to the right store that offers the best savings if you are in tune with Him. 

Many souls are under the perception that God has no time for such mundane matters. But to God, nothing is too small or too great. Once you make an impermeable contact with the Creator, He watches over you in every way. God never sleeps.

Eventually, with sincere effort, you will reach a point where your relationship with God, who may seem invisible, becomes just as tangible as if someone were standing right in front of you.  

Your prayers will be answered instinctively, without you even having to ask. You will have no doubt that you are being cared for and protected.

Meanwhile, there's clearly no harm in praying for others and there's certainly nothing unsound about sincerely praying as respects to the joy, prosperity, and wisdom that God has bestowed upon you. Praising God is a means of prayer and blessedness in and of itself.

It's much like being a child. The child is not worried because they know that they are loved and that all their needs will be met. 

That's the type of love and security you will experience when you get yourself right with God. You just know that everything is alright even if appearances seem otherwise. 

Getting right with God means remembering who you truly are, a child of God, and that God is always there waiting with the door open for you to step in whenever you are ready to come home.

Many believe that they are separate from God and when praying they think that they're praying to an external source.

They assume that somehow their prayers are pinging off something akin to a 4G tower that then bounces the answered prayer back to them much like Wi-Fi on a smartphone. God works through you. YOU are the vessel. 

Reminder: Prayer changes you not God. You must be a competent, intelligent, mindful, and enduring vessel in order to receive the full blessings of God. The Creator answers your prayers  through you by changing your consciousness. 

Keep in mind that at the beginning of your spiritual journey, prayer will likely play a significant role. However, as you progress, words may no longer be necessary as you embody the essence of prayer itself.

Getting to Know God

Consider this scenario: you've just purchased an exclusive wristwatch. In essence, you know that the watch didn't simply appear out of thin air. Rather, it was carefully designed and produced by someone.

You are curious about the design of the wristwatch, it's mechanisms, color, materials etc. You inquire about who is behind it's creation because the creator of the piece is always much more interesting than the piece itself. 

This is the type of curiosity you should have about the world and God. Who created the world? Why were we created? How do we breath, walk, talk and eat? Why do we sleep and why do we die?

Remember, the wristwatch is designed to work in a certain way. Trying to force it to work in any other way will cause it to malfunction. That's how we are when we ignore God. We become malfunctioning, dysfunctional beings who will never find reassurance until we turn to Him. 

Material science offers material explanations but their annotations are never enough to satisfy the soul. 

When you are so enthused and determined, like you would when searching for money to satisfy your hunger, to make an unswerving effort to know God you will begin to receive answers to your questions. 

You will then start to understand how the world truly functions and its purpose. God has an answer for any question you can put before Him and is more than willing to satisfy your curiosity.

And believe me...God is never boring. He is infinite and has an infinite number of ways of entertaining you. You will have a multitude of questions and He will answer them in a multitude of ways.

Moreover, you will also have enriching experiences while fulfilling your daily worldly responsibilities. This is what is meant by you will be in the world but not of it. 

As certain training is needed for engaging in the art of war, so does our engagement in battling with active life. Untrained warriors are soon killed on the battlefield; so also men untrained in the art of preserving their inner peace are quickly riddled by the bullets of worry and restlessness in active life - SRF

GOD IS BETTER

God Is Better than anything man can offer you because only He can fulfill and satisfy the needs of the Soul. 

When you pledge your allegiance to the world instead of God...you will never know true happiness because the world is incapable of providing it! The world promises happiness but gives sorrow. 

In contrast, God is merciful, while man is not. God offers unconditional love, whereas man does not. God knows and understands your true self, while man does not.

Additionally, God is holy and forgiving, while man is not. Ultimately, God has the answer to all of your needs, while man does not.

There's no comparison to the love and trust that God can provide. Once you truly become closer to Him, you will begin to realize this. You will find Him much more appealing and interesting than anything the world has to offer.

Only God can grant complete happiness because we are a part of Him and He is a part of us. By uniting with God, you are complete!

The world is a divine enigma - evil mixed with good, sorrow with joy, death with life....We should not rack our brains nor become disbelievers in a divine scheme in creation if we cannot understand all the paradoxical dramas of good and evil, of happiness and sorrow, of rich and poor, of health and sickness, of intelligence and stupidity, of peace and wars, of kindness and cruelty in nature. 

A successful play has suspense, captivates the interest, bewilders or puzzles, and ends with a satisfying dramatic flourish...Similarly, God will in time suddenly lift the veil for every ascending Soul, disclosing the final part of the Cosmic Drama, long concealed, behind the many acts of tragedies and comedies, to reveal its mighty, noble end. - SRF 

We are all individual souls experiencing life on earth. When we believe that we are separate from God this earth becomes nothing but trouble and confusion. By consciously uniting with God we are freed from the miseries of this world.
