The Mind-Body Connection
If you take care of your body...your body will take care of you. Nonetheless, when I write take care of your body it's not meant in only a physical sense. Your mental relationship with your body is just as important. You see the body and the mind take care of each other, however, the mind has the power to heal the body and renew your soul.
Have you ever been around people with a malady and wondered "why did this happen to them...they were always eating the right foods and exercising." The reason why it happened is because even though they have the physical part right, the mental part needs some work.
You can be as physically fit as you like but if you are hateful, envious, have a number of inferior complexes about yourself, feel unloved, guilty etc, these emotions will manifest in your body.
Have you ever noticed an older person who seems so young? Not just physically but there's a youthful aura about them and you feel their positive energy? That's because mentally they are positive, youthful, and energetic regardless of the condition of their body.
The association between mind and body is a double-edged sword. Whereas you can't take care of one and neglect the other if you want all around mental and physical well-being.
It's A Tricky Alliance
Bodily troubles happen to the best of us no matter how well we try to take care of it. However, if we maintain "mental balance" we find that even though the body is signaling that something is wrong...it won't frighten you and it heals faster.
You see, the body is not only a physical manifestation. It's a manifestation of our consciousness as well. And if you can find the mental component that's making your body sick it will help greatly with healing. This is what metaphysics is all about. For every part of the body there is a mental counterpart.
The author Louise Hay has written a number of books on the mind-body connection. She states that "illness however mild or severe is an indicator of your emotional state, caused by your thoughts and focus" Read more HERE.
For example, if you suffer from motion sickness it may indicate that mentally you have a fear of being trapped or in bondage. Or if you have liver issues it may indicate you're holding lots of anger and have a hard time controlling your emotions.
According to hopkinsmedicine:
How does the brain work?
The brain sends and receives chemical and electrical signals throughout the body. Different signals control different processes, and your brain interprets each signal for good or ill in relation to your body. Some make you feel tired, for example, while others make you feel pain, some make you feel full of energy or relaxed.
Some messages are kept within the brain, while others are relayed through the spine and across the body’s vast network of nerves to distant extremities. To do this, the central nervous system relies on billions of neurons (nerve cells)."
Expressed in metaphysical terms your brain/mind is where you live and what goes on up there 100% effects what's happening down there i.e. your body.
The Pineal Gland
An extremely important part of the brain is the pineal gland. This wonderous gland is said to be "the place where our God connection takes place within the body."
The site siddhaspirituality.com provides an accurate description of the pineal gland:
"The pineal gland, a pine-cone-shaped gland of the endocrine system, is a highly essential part of the brain necessary for our survival. It is often associated with the third eye or the Agya chakra, when activated, which leads one to higher realms of consciousness.
Some may think of the spiritual world as being completely beyond and outside of our bodies. In fact, the opposite might be the case. Scientists cannot confirm or deny the role of the pineal gland (third eye) in spiritual experience, but the pineal gland plays the dominant role in spirituality in many cultures around the world, and this for many thousand years.
Just as we have organs like our ears to help us hear sound waves, we have the pineal gland to help us attune to the spiritual world.

The article details various aspects of the pineal gland like pineal gland function, pineal gland physical importance, benefits of the awakening pineal gland, and more.
I would also like to add that once you awaken the pineal gland, you will see the spiritual eye. This "eye" is a beautiful deep-rich azure blue with a gold center. You will definitely feel a difference within your being once this eye is opened. It is also associated with the sixth chakra. Learn more about the spiritual eye's chakra connection HERE.
CONCLUSION
Working on the power of the mind will solve many of your life problems whether physical or mental. There's a whole new world to discover once you discover the power of your mind.
