The Game of Life and How to Play It is a metaphysical classic. Ms.Shinn uses everyday situations to emphasis how

metaphysics and spiritual concepts enhance your life. Believe me, you won't want to put this book down.

Your Word is Your Wand: A Sequel to the Game of Life and How to Play It By Florence Scovel Shinn

Word Your Wand.jpg

If you read my review for Ms.Shinn's other book "The Game of Life and How to Play It" her sequel "Your Word Is Your Wand" is just as riveting. This sequel hones in on the power of our words and how we can use them for goodwill or impediments in our life. Definitely worth taking note!

Autobiograhy Yogi.jpg

I initially purchased Autobiography of a Yogi in paperback. After reading, underlining, and highlighting points in the book that inspired me, I purchased the hardcover edition. In my view, Autobiography of a Yogi is a treasure. It's not for everyone as it is advanced spiritually; however, it is written for the common individual in simple language. In fact, anyone picking up this book to read simply out of curiosity will be inspired. The content is witty and intelligently written. If you are searching for answers to the mysteries of our existence, you will find that this book will satisfy your curiosity.

A Place Where The World Can't Harm You

November 9, 2023

There's a place you can go where nothing and no one can touch you. That place is in your consciousness. You see your consciousness is linked to your heart and in your heart is where "sanctity" lies. God put it there. Nonetheless we can choose to ignore our hearts as God has given us freewill.

When we choose to ignore what is innately placed into our hearts, we lose the divine protection given to us by God's grace.

We deny ourselves the beauty of living life as it was designed to be...without worry or fear including the fear of death. But we are fearful and worrisome because we've given up our divine protection. We've given ourselves over to man. As the saying goes "man frail as breath...never put your trust in him."

Others will not reap the consequences for your spiritual ignorance...you will!

Yes, we all have family and/or friends that we trust wholeheartedly. However, spiritually what is meant by trust is that "in the end we can only completely trust in God." For example, putting full trust in a husband or wife for happiness is misleading because no one is perfect.

People will always disappoint us. We should only put our complete trust in God and we'll never feel complete until we do. It doesn't mean that we shouldn't friendships, marriages, children etc. It simply means that we shouldn't look to those things for complete fulfillment. The desire for complete happiness and protection can only be fulfilled by The Creator.

So whatever you are doing, if you don't put God first, your efforts will be in vain because fulfilling worldly desires will not result in peace. And yes, we all fall short but "God is merciful man is not."

In the end man cannot solve your problems or protect you....only your Creator the one who loves you for eternity can do that. All you have to do is release the desires of your heart from the world and go within. Your new and enlightened consciousness will create a whole new world for you.
