Your Word is Your Wand: A Sequel to the Game of Life and How to Play It By Florence Scovel Shinn

Word Your Wand.jpg

If you read my review for Ms.Shinn's other book "The Game of Life and How to Play It" her sequel "Your Word Is Your Wand" is just as riveting. This sequel hones in on the power of our words and how we can use them for goodwill or impediments in our life. Definitely worth taking note!

Autobiograhy Yogi.jpg

I initially purchased Autobiography of a Yogi in paperback. After reading, underlining, and highlighting points in the book that inspired me, I purchased the hardcover edition. In my view, Autobiography of a Yogi is a treasure. It's not for everyone as it is advanced spiritually; however, it is written for the common individual in simple language. In fact, anyone picking up this book to read simply out of curiosity will be inspired. The content is witty and intelligently written. If you are searching for answers to the mysteries of our existence, you will find that this book will satisfy your curiosity.

What Does Following The Law Mean To You?

April 10, 2020

Which laws am I referring to? You do know that man's laws and Universal (God's) Laws are not comparable when it comes justice, or do you? Let me explain a bit more.

The justice of any law should be derived from Universal Laws. And if you are following Universal Laws you won't do certain things anyway. Some of man's laws are needed; however, once they are out of the realm of justice and morality they become a detriment to society.

For example, there are laws that make it illegal to have an opposing view to various people, groups, organizations, companies, etc. So how is that supposed to work?

If you're following Universal Law (God's Law) than each person will be accepted or not accepted by their character. However, if man enact laws to "force" people accept others regardless of their own need to discern what's best for them, their families, their community, and so on, then people become oppressed. Even God doesn't prevent us from making our own choices.

God's laws leads to wisdom as each moment is a decision. If one is in tune with their spiritual self, they can make wise choices without the need of man's laws to tell them what to do.

Man's laws can be right or wrong. Not only that, man's laws are not eternal. God's laws are.

Man will make a law and then change or modify that same law at any time, and it happens often. Countries change laws from one year to the next. Those laws can pertain to education, work, health insurance, immigration, marriage, anything.

There are even offbeat laws that are designed to annoy more than anything else. For example, in China an eccentric law was introduced in 2007 that makes it "illegal for Tibetan monks to reincarnate without the government's permission." Now, how do they plan on enforcing this law? It's amazing how delusional humanity gets when it comes to their "laws."

Whether you believe in reincarnation or not, if reincarnation is part of God's Universal Laws then there's nothing man can do to stop it! No more than man can prevent death when the Soul leaves the body. It's done and over for you on this earth plane. And no amount of medicine or machines can bring you back to this world once the Soul cuts the chord (some call it the Silver Chord or Life Thread) with the body.

In Malaysia and Singapore, there are laws against spitting on the sidewalk and in public buildings. In my view, this law is morale and just. It must have been an issue seeing that they had to make a law in the first place. In fact, Singapore has some interesting laws and to be honest - what else would I be - I agree with many of them.

The links provided and my commentary gives you an idea of man's laws and how absurd many of them are, though some are required due to the inability of individuals to control themselves. When a person links with their True God Self, there's no need for man's laws to control them. The right thing to do comes intuitively.

The point is, those laws must be based on justice and morality as an extension of Universal Laws. When this isn't the case, there's chaos. For example, take immigration. Citizens of a country may have certain concerns on how excessive amounts of immigration is affecting the fiber and very structure of their countries.

Most people are not against immigration, but when immigration is used as a political tool or become overwhelming, and when people or citizens of a country are forced to change their culture and their lives without their leaders considering the consequences, then it becomes immoral. Laws should be made for the good of the whole, not only a few.

What secular laws are trying to do is decimate humanity itself. These laws are trying to protect "feelings" and this is impossible. So, what do they do? They create unjust laws to silence those who may oppose their actions. These are unjust laws. In secular terms they are trying to make "everyone the same." However, that's impossible, even God doesn't do that.

Each person is a unique Soul. What man is doing is suppressing the creativity, beauty, and expression endowed to us by The Creator. We should be helping others become enlightened...not create laws to suppress those who are enlightened. Society will come to a standstill if this continues.

Even online people are called a troll for not agreeing with someone else. So they make laws to silence these people. But that's not being realistic. They shouldn't make laws to silence people, but people should be taught about life and that life will entail ups-and-downs. They have to get tougher, because only the strongest will survive. It's the "survival of the fittest." It's simply natural that the weaker will fall behind.

This isn't about being cold or callous. It's understanding the "nature of life" realistically and without the misinterpretations that feelings can cause. You see this in the world today. Individuals who remain calm and use logic compared to those who are, as they would say, all up in their feelings or triggered. They have no sense of justice and they can't be reasoned with.

When laws are made to "force" people to act a certain way out of selfishness and ignorance of God's Laws, the result is tyranny. Man cannot govern himself. As one law is made another is made to counter that law and then another law is made to counter that law.

For instance, the pronoun issue. Laws have been created to force individuals to use pronouns depending on how a person feels that day. For example, there are conflicting reports concerning the new law in Canada. Some say you can be fined and other reports say a person will not be jailed or fined. The law was supposedly designed to bring "gender identity and gender expression." The thought that this is even an issue is baffling in itself. You see the confusion?

This is the nature of "man's laws" when they are designed for selfish reasons. Keep in mind, man's laws are never bulletproof. There's always a misstep somewhere. Universal Laws are solid. "I Change Not." God's Laws work as an invisible chord. When we do wrong we feel pain and when we do right we feel good. The problem is that many are blind to the way in which God tries to help us. Some will repeat the same mistake over and over, ignoring their conscious then when things turn out badly blame it all on God or say, there is no God.

What happens is that we put man's laws before Universal Laws and we suffer. Our families suffer, society suffers, the world suffers. Now some people may wonder what exactly are Universal Laws? That will take an entirely different article which I may or may not write. Let's suffice it to say that Universal Laws are eternal, they don't change, they are same yesterday-today-and tomorrow, they are created on justice and most of all LOVE. But they are the invisible laws that govern this universe.

If the laws of the Bible come to mind. Remember that the Bible is a treatise, written in an allegorical manner. It can be understood depending where you are in life. That's why some people will read the Bible and pray while someone else will read the Bible and go kill someone. Earth is a school and we're all in different grades. I certainly don't expect a 1st grader to understand the educational level of a 11th grader.

So, there we have it folks. I hope this article has inspired or helped you in some way.
